UNICAL APPROVES 17MILLION PLUS FOR SUG BUDGET

The vice chancellor of the university of calabar Prof. James Epoke, has approved a total sum of seventeen million, Four hundred and fifty thousand (17,450,000) as the student union government budget for the 2013/2014 academic session. The approved budget which is jointly signed by the vice chancellor, the dean of students affairs, Prof. Eyong, U. Eyong, and the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Moses Abang.

The Ajang, Emmanuel led SUG exco had earlier presented a total sum of forty-three million plus to the welfare board of the institution for approval. After numerous meetings and considerations, the budget was finally approved. Details of the approved budget has over 70% of the figure allotted for RECURRENT expenditures and allowances and less than 10% allotted for infrastructural development and project executions.
