NIG
VS IRAN AFTERMATH
Last night the super eagles of
Nigeria finally had a shot to make things right in respect to the shabby outing
against the united states before the
world cup but the reverse was the case. (Worst 92 minutes of my life). From the
constant aimless long passes from Mikel (Nigeria’s supposed playmaker?) To the
clueless Efe Ambrose and the misdirected looking oshinowo as well. The uncial
nation crew interviewed some of the football pundits on campus on what they thought about the game, these are
some of the response
Aniebiet pius (computer science yr 4): I wasted 90 minutes of my life
watching the game. Musa would be great for temple run, aimless running instead
of wearing that jersey. If na peak milk advert them go run score goal. How can u
carry Oshinawo to the world cup? That nigga should be locked in a cage.
Eziashi Ifeanyi (marine biology yr 4):Nigeria brought only 3 players to
the world cup enyeama, omeruo, onazi and others. How long are we going to ask
if mikel is good enough. Infact mikel is a major problem.and also why would
steven keshi not come with any creative players? Emenike was selfish and what
happened to Sunday mba?
Michael Orajekwe( pre-degree): Super Eagles knowing fully well that its a must win match if they are to progress from the group stages started the game brightly on the front foot with attacking intent. But having been held for a while frustration grew and they moved away from slick passing to long balls and bad crosses. Keshi(formerly known as the big boss cos he is slimming down) made a huge step by removing victor Moses who is considered as a talisman in the team and replaced him with Ameobi (with ramon azeez still on the pitch;wildly unknown to many). to sum it all, the total approach and mindset was unlike the African champions
The super eagles fans all over
the world were left disappointed especially a particular fan in brazil (confam
ibo boy), who was way too disappointed that he had to be noticed by the camera. I guess the camera men could not avoid to capture the trauma and agony he was going through.
