I don’t know how many of you share the same thoughts, but I have always wondered why love has to be full of conflicts and strife, I mean, why can’t it just be as pure as two people who realized that they cannot live as well and as happy when they’re apart from each other, as they would be together.

Very recently i was having a tete-a-tete with a friend who was more like EXPLAINING his relationship to me after asking him a simple question; “when was the last time she called you?” so funny, he began fumbling with words, saying something like “sir, she loves me o (who asked you that?), we talk on the phone all the time (oh please, that wasn’t the question?), she didn’t call me yesterday sha (thought you just said you two talk all the time?), sometimes she’s very busy (excuses), we haven’t spoken today either (but it’s almost 7pm already), I have just been a little busy too (yea I can see, busy chatting with other ladies on BBM and WhatsApp, better excuses please), most of the time I am without airtime (oh really?, but your dialed call log have all been to other women besides your girlfriend, or are they your sisters?)” . No lies, I wouldn’t be shocked if you are just the same as my friend.

HEAR ME;
Anytime you are trying to explain, to others or to yourself, why the relationship you’re in really is love or working fine, arrrrhaaaaa! Just stop right there, because if it is really love, or working just fine, there will be no explanation needed, you will know, I will know, it will reflect in everything around you, everyone will see it, a good romance cannot be hidden!

LOVE is not COMPLICATED; it is we who drag our own complicated lives into the relationship. She gets jealous over every lady that waves at you at the mall, he transfers his frustrations of the day to you in every conversation, he apologizes today only to repeats the same thing tomorrow, you’re actually not sure what she's thinking most of the time, he's got an old girlfriend that keeps coming back in and out of the picture, he is insecure and suspects every phone call, she has security passwords all over her phone like it’s a bank vault, he claims to have another best friend down the street , she says one thing but her actions are indicating something else, he's got an excuse or a defense for everything you ask him and every story doesn’t seem right; he’s angry all the time for no reason. Two very complicated lives!

Do not turn that relationship into a dust bin, leave the dirty bags outside, and stop bringing issues from your life to cloud the life of another, we’ve got our own problems already, deal with your complications, you both must be open to a relationship with each other and seeing where it takes you, no games, no drama, and no tensions!
