From time, the baptism of
freshers has been a tradition in the university of calabar particularly in
malabor. Students from 200 level upwards tend to welcome fresher to the
republic by pouring them water (dirty or clean water).
Today was not an exception,
malabites woke up as early as 5am in hall 4 and hell was let loose…(noise, stampede
and what not).they made sure they brought out every year 1 student out asking
them questions like “who killed apo?” “is apo a malabite or malabress?” and pouring
them water aggressively.
Some set of horny malabites took
their rage to the female hostel (hall 8 and 9) getting the female fresher wet (so
they could get a better picture of what they were wearing). They went from just
pouring fresher water to pouring anybody, to causing commotion of all sorts.
(they went as far as pouring the cso water too)
