“SAME TRAILER, DIFFERENT PARKS”
I have counseled a lot of young people, but the most familiar challenge they always share with me is this one liner; “am done with love, all men are the same”.
As much as I try to understand how hurt they really feel, I also try to understand that most of this young people have had turns and turns of failed relationships in the past, and this is just another one of those sinking ships.
Please allow me the time to talk to you today, you cannot keep blaming men for all your troubles, I know as a man your first guess is ‘am being gender defensive’, no, better than anything else I cannot deny the blunt truth that there are some silly men out there whose lack of self-control and indiscipline allows their erection determine their direction. But I have taken a good time to do all the philosophizing, and trust me, men are just one out of the many things you can blame for your failed relationship.
Most of the times we look for love in all the wrong places, we fall in love with the wrong persons, we don’t really have a mental picture of the kind of partner we want, we carry the wrong mentalities into the right relationships, we get a good thing started and after a few months too lazy to keep working on it so we fall asleep on the wheel, some other times we break up with an alcoholic only to fall in love with a drunk.
I just wonder, why are other ladies enjoying good relationships with the same men you are blaming for all your heart aches? Has this thought ever crossed your mind? Have you ever wondered why all three of your relationships failed? Same woman! Three different men! What is it that made the first stop loving? Why did the second cheat? And why didn’t the third stay? Check yourself honey, all of the guys you’ve met cannot be descendants of Lucifer, there is a character problem somewhere, and that’s the one that gets me the most worried for you, because like a flat tire; a bad character will get you nowhere.
“A woman who has cheese burger on her upper lip will always walk around complaining that the whole world smells”, that’s what a bad character gives you, circling between different men in the same position, you say all are bad, while you are worse!
Please, grab a chill bottle of coke, sit down and assess yourself, search deep down and burnout all of those bad character and negativity inside of you. No matter how beautiful you may think you are, your beauty can only ATTRACT; but it’s your character that KEEPS. Until you change that character your next relationship will be no different from the last, you will only be driving that same old trailer into different car parks.
